It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aldeen Smith (nee McCrank), who passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of Ron Smith and the daughter of the late Elmer McCrank and the late Retha McCrank (nee Brownrigg).
She leaves in sadness, but with wonderful memories, her daughter Leanna Smith (Steve Ladurantaye) and her cherished grandchildren, Caitlyn and Jonah. She also leaves in sorrow her sisters Lona Gates (late Dell) and Greta Shane (late Harry), her brother Eldred McCrank (Diane Cardinal), as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Aubrey McCrank.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St-Paul Cemetery (460 Main Street, Plantagenet, ON).
In memory of Aldeen, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
