It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ernst Meier of Bourget, Ontario, born in Switzerland, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of Linda Szabo. Son of the late Jakob Meier and the late Vreni Sagesser.  Loving father of Gerry and Chayita; cherished Papou of Katya Desforges.  Dear brother of Erika Ruedi and Ursula Manser.  Also survived by one brother-in-law, Robert Gravel and one sister-in-law, Susan Hagedorn, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Sacré Coeur Church, Bourget, Ontario.

Special thanks to SE Health’s nursing staff and staff at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus for their devoted care. In addition, the family wishes to sincerely thank relatives and friends for their support throughout his illness.
