It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Fernand Groulx of Embrun, Ontario. Fernand passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Denise Savage. Son of the late Horace Groulx and the late Alice Marcil. Loving father of Éric (Natalie Gravel), France (Yves Laurin) and Vicky (Christopher Marris). Cherished grandfather of Amélie, Hugo, Annie and Joël Groulx, David, Jasmine and Samuel Laurin, Kaleb, Maya and Koralie Marris. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Juliette (late Basil Borutski and Laurent Cossette), Rhéal (late Stella Chénier and Léonild Couto), Anita (Gary Racine), Rachel (Richard Roy), Aline (Herman Morris), Jeannine (Ronald Poulin) and Paul (Rachel Lepage); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nicole Savage (Ron Soulière), Rock Savage (Ginette Bossé), Paul Savage (Johanne Lamesse), Alain Savage, Diane Savage (Alain Forgues) and Mario Savage (Roseline Lefebvre), many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by brothers and sisters, Thérèse (late Léo Lavoie and late Adélard Chatelain), Bernardette (late Noël Ladouceur and late Donat Couture), Ernest (Rita Carrier and Claudette Mainville), Claude, Bernard (Pauline Brasseur) and Noëlla (Brent Daigle) and one brother-in-law Yvon (Roberte Soulière).
Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St. Jacques Church in Embrun, followed by an inurment in the parish cemetery. It will be possible to view the celebration at a later date from Mr. Groulx’s page on the website identified below.
