The Gratton family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Georgette Gratton, nee Barbarie, of Ottawa, born in Plantagenet, Ontario, on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Armand Gratton. Dear daughter of the late Eugène Barbarie and the late Léoria Gauthier. Loving mother of Michel (Lynn), Marc (Guylaine) and Guy (Manon). Cherished grandmother of Vanessa (François), Annie (Jordan), Jérémie, Alexandre and Jean-Sébastien (Karine) and great-grandmother of Magalie and Maïka. Also survived by one brother Roger (Vivian), one sister Joanne (Ronnie), one sister-in-law Madeleine (late Roland) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three sisters, Gilberte (late Murray), Marcelle and Monique (Hubert).
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Saint-Sébastien Church, 1000, Frances Street, Ottawa, Ontario. The interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery, Plantagenet, Ontario. The family would like to extend an invitation to family and friends to meet them at the church before the funeral from 10:15 a.m.
Special thanks to Dr. André Gauthier, Lorraine Gauthier and to the staff of the Forest Valley Terrace Residence and the Montfort Hospital for their dedication and the devoted care provided to our mother.
