Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St-Joseph Church, Orleans, Ontario.

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Léo Lavertue of Curran, formerly of Orleans, Ontario, on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the age of 73 years. Son of the late Emile Lavertue and the late Jeannette Dallaire. Loving brother of Gilles (Nathalie Leblanc), late Lise Lemay, Michel, Rhéal, Réjean (Lauraine Delisle), Rachelle (Pierre Brazeau) and Pierre. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his dear friend Evelyne Maisonneuve.

Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph Church, Orleans, Ontario. Interment parish cemetery.

Special thanks to Evelyne and the staff of the Bruyere Hospital of Ottawa for their compassion and devoted care provided to Léo.

For those who wish, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, 1500 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, K1G 3Y9, would be appreciated.

      Nous n’avons jamais connu la bonté de Léo, mais par sa photo nous voyons qu’il était un homme humble et acceuillant. Nous aurions aimez l’avoir pour jouer ses instruments pendant nos partys! Ming Ming (a.k.a. notre Léo) sera avec nous pour nous rappeller de son maître longtemps.
