Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Leona Ryan of Fournier, Ontario, passed away at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Dean Ryan.  Dear daughter of the late George Brownrigg and the late Kathleen Downes. Loving mother of Darlene Ryan, Cathy (Marc Lalonde), Len (Lynne Hébert) and Bernie (Céline Poirier). Cherished grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and great-grandmother of twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by great-grandchild, Piper. She will be fondly remembered by her brother, Darrell (Rita Ryan); Darlene’s children’s father, Claude Rieux; many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by two sisters, Marlene (late John Balasa) and Annabel; her brother, Seibert (Rose Krause); her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Stanley (late Winnifred McLoone), Hubert, Lambert (late Helen Marcelle Campeau), Ernest (late Agatha Collins), Mona (late Hubert McFall), Rena (Alloyus McPhee) and Edgar.

Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, Fournier, Ontario. Interment Parish Cemetery. The family would like to extend an invitation to family and friends to meet them at the church before the funeral from 10 a.m.

Special thanks to Dr. Valery Rossbach, Nurse practitioner, Christine Thompson and the staff of the Maxville Manor, BC Wing, for their devoted care and compassion.
