It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marcelle Lalonde (nee Desjardins), who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 25, 2025 at the age of 100. She was the beloved wife to the late Roger Lalonde and the daughter of the late Wilfrid Desjardins and the late Elise Desjardins (nee Poirier). She leaves in sadness but with wonderful memories her children, Lise Dostaler (Pierre), Ginette Plouffe (Jean) and Serge Lalonde (Murielle Gariépy). She was the adored grandmother of Patrick (Razan), Annie (George), and Mélanie (Nelson), and the cherished great-grandmother of Leonardo and Aiana. She also leaves in sorrow her sisters-in-law Hélène Lalonde (late Marcel) and Suzanne Loscher, as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. She was predeceased by her seven brothers and her five sisters.
The family wishes to thank the Rockland Manor and the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St-Paul Parish, 400 Water Street, Plantagenet, ON. The family will receive condolences from 10 a.m.
In memory of Mrs. Lalonde, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Mme Lalonde was the sweetest lady who brightened my day. It was a pleasure being able to take care of her every day. She was strong, inspiring, appreciative and so so lovely! She will definitely be missed! Thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this very difficult time. She will always hold a special place in my heart!! ❤️ May she rest in peace xoxo

Mes plus isncères condoléances à toute la famille de tante Marcelle. Elle était la marraine bien-aimée de ma défunte épouse Françoise Desjardins (fille de Damien et Alice). Je garderai toujours un grand souvenir des visites qu’elle nous faisait à Saint-Jérôme avec l’oncle Roger et des visites chez elle à Vanier.
Mes sincères condoléances à la famille. Je vais garder un bon souvenir de Marcelle lors de notre bénévolat au Centre d’accueil Champlain et à la paroisse Notre-Dame de Lourdes.
J’offre mes sincères sympathies à la famille de Madame Marcelle. Ma mère Suzanne Lortie était amie avec votre mère au Manoir Rockland. Votre mère a été d’une grande aide pour ma mère qui était malade. Elle m’en parlait souvent et elle l’aimait beaucoup.
Sincères condoléances a LIse (Pierre), Ginette (Jean). Serge (Murielle). et également aux petits-enfants et arrières petits-enfants. Une marque de sympathie s’ajoute en plus, pour les familles Lalonde et Desjardins. Bon courage. Qu’elle repose en paix.

Ma mère (Jeannine Bois) et tante Marcelle, ça parlait longtemps au téléphone. Les deux cousine étaient très proche l’une de l’autre.
