It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Tassé, nee Ward, of Curran, Ontario. Mary passed away with family by her side on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the age of 66. Beloved wife of Guy Tassé. Daughter of the late John F. Ward and the late Jacqueline Duguay. Loving mother of Father Denis, Marc, Jean (Mélissa Jacques-Côté) and Claire (Bhuvan Passey). Cherished grandmother of Logan and Olivia. Also survived by her brothers and sisters, Rita, Emily (Don), Joseph (Helen), Diane, James (Joanne), Anne (Brian) and Joseph Dede (Anne-Marie). She will be fondly remembered by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother George and two sisters, Helen (Jim Moir) and Alice (late Ken Ivall Hill).
Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St. Luc Church in Curran, followed by interment in the parish cemetery. It will be possible to view the celebration at a later date from Mrs. Tassé’s page on this website.
Special thanks to the staff of the Ottawa Hospital, General and Civic Campus, to the staff of the Hawkesbury and District General Hospital and St. Elizabeth for their compassion and devoted care provided to Mary.
