It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Monique R.-Lalonde of Ottawa, formerly of Cornwall, Ontario, on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the age of 80 years. Loving wife of the late Yvon A. Racine. Dear daughter of the late Léo Lalonde and the late Thérèse Châtelain. Survived by her two sisters: Claire (René Auger) and Aline (late Chanel Deschênes), many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by two brothers: Armand and Hector; three sisters: Annette, Jacqueline and Colette. Mrs. Lalonde worked with the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for many years before meeting her husband. She was also a dedicated teacher in many areas including Cornwall.

Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Luc Church, Curran, Ontario. The family would like to extend an invitation to family and friends to meet them at the church before the funeral from 10 a.m.

    Très surpris d’apprendre du décès de Monique. Elle était toujours souriante et de bonne humeur. Monique et Yvon étaient très dévoués à notre groupe de Tennis.

    Monique was a neighbour down the hall here in Ottawa. A beautiful, beautiful woman who was always so friendly. I just found out about her passing and am so sorry to know of this. My condolences to family and friends.She will be sorely missed… such a lovely woman!
