The Méconse family is saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Real Méconse of L’Orignal, Ontario, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Gisèle Labelle. Son of the late Ovila Méconse and the late Délisca Lacourse. Loving father of Serge (Carole Labrie) and Dean (Sarah Jestin). Dear grandpa of Chinook Méconse, Michael and Kirsten Méconse, Mylène and Véronique Brazeau and Stéphane Labrie and great-grandpa of twelve great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother and three sisters, Rolland (Gisèle Galipeau), Georgette, Bernadette (Réjean Mantha) and Paulette (late Jacques-Yves Riel); one sister-in-law Pierrette Labelle (Nelson Langevin) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, Ronald and Laurier (late Marie-Berthe); two sisters, Juliette (late Valmare Savard) and Béatrice (late Bernard Saumure).
Friends and relatives may visit at Lamarre & Son Funeral Home, 453 St. Philippe Street, Alfred, Ontario, (613) 679-2802, on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. A Liturgy of the Word will be held on the same day at 2:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home’s Chapel. Interment St. Jean-Baptiste Cemetery, L’Orignal.
