A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Hammond Golf and Country Club from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Maisonneuve on April 28, 2025 at the age of 82. He was the son of the late Arthur Maisonneuve and the late Evelyn Maisonneuve (nee Sauvé) and the beloved partner and best friend to Michelle Dunning. He leaves in sadness but with wonderful memories his daughter Leah Maisonneuve-Hope (Dave), his son Charles Maisonneuve and his stepchildren James Dunning (Michelle) and Christine Armbrust (John). He was the adored grandfather of Amber (Ken), Alexandra, Zacharia, Martine, Nicholas, Evan and cherished great-grandfather of Tessa, Kallie and step-great-grandfather of Tucker, Mason, Cooper and Callie. He also leaves in sorrow his brothers Guy (Lily) and Louis (Elaine), as well as his nieces and nephews Lyanne Picard, Luc Picard (Josée), Daniel Picard (Denise), Denis Picard (Francine), Diane McCarthy, Guy Groulx (Lynn), Jacques Groulx (Julie), Luc Groulx (Diane), Johanne Cyr (Normand), Andrée Maisonneuve, Gilles Maisonneuve, Nathalie Bélisle and the mother of his children Carolanne Hermann.
He was predeceased by his sisters Patsy Groulx (Yvon), Pauline Picard (Conrad) and his nephews Marc Picard (Lise) and Michel Groulx.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Hammond Golf and Country Club from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Firefighters Community Foundation – Ottawa Firefighters Memorial would be greatly appreciated.

I had the pleasure of working with Richard for many years and always loved his kind, quiet demeanor and good sense of huour. As a Public Fire Educator he alsways had fun showing off his firefighting gear and teaching chidren and adults about fire safety. Rest in Peace brother
