Current conditions did not allow a traditional funeral. Thus, a Private Family Service was held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at St. Paul Church, Plantagenet, Ontario.
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Roger Gour of Plantagenet, Ontario, at the age of 77. Roger passed away surrounded by his family at his side on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.
Beloved husband of Janet Benson. Dear son of the late Wilfrid Gour and the late Aurore Modérie. Cherished father to Denis (Linda Charlebois), Marc (Nathalie Lalonde), Paul (Judith Landriault) and Anne Marie (Patrice Lanthier).
He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Samuel (Jevana Larocque), Danyka (Dominik Clairoux), Nicholas, Tammy (Patrick Groulx), Jacob and two great-grandchildren, Maverik and Océanne.
Survived by a sister Alma (Roger Racine) and brothers, Raymond (Rita Guibord) and Gaston (Diane Longtin). Predeceased by his sisters, Yvonne (spouse by first marriage of the late Fernand Lanthier and by second marriage of Simon Groulx), Alice (Conrad Groulx), Jeannine (late Wilfrid Racine) and Hélène (late Florian Jubainville). He will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Roger was a proud owner of his landscaping company, founder of the Eastern Ontario Snowmobile Club, a former Municipal Councillor and a Volunteer Firefighter for over 30 years.
Due to the current circumstances, a Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at St. Paul Church, Plantagenet, Ontario.
