Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St-Joachim Church, Chute-à-Blondeau, Ontario.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Jolicoeur of Hawkesbury, Ontario, formerly of Montreal, Quebec. Roger passed away at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the age of 86. Son of the late Gérard Jolicoeur and the late Gracia Morin. Father of Danielle (Jaime Harper) and Bertrand (Linda Stavroff); grandfather of Wesley and Erica Harper. Brother of Jean (Huguette Lachance), Françoise (late Wilfrid Delage), Claude (Denise Dézainde) and Aline (Jacques Renaud). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Lise (late Georges Ouimet).

Roger graduated from HEC in 1957 and had a long career in senior management at Blue Bonnets Raceway in Montreal. He was also a financial advisor with National Bank Financial for several years before retiring.

Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St-Joachim Church, Chute-à-Blondeau, Ontario, followed by interment at Parish Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Anthony MacDonald, hematologist at the Ottawa Hospital, and Dr. Anthony Di Cintio, palliative care physician in the community, for their dedication and humanity.

      J’ai côtoyé Roger quelques années au sein du conseil d’administration des œuvres du Père de la Sablonnière. Il a été très actif auprès du Père qui se fiait à son jugement. C’était un plaisir de le revoir les dernières années où il venait au réunion annuel du Centre.
      En mon nom et au nom des membres du conseil , nous vous offrons toutes nos condoléances.

      Toutes mes condoléances à Jean et Huguette, je garde de très bons souvenirs de Jean quand il était notre représentant pharmaceutique à mon conjoint de l’époque et moi , bon courage à vous deux

      À Danielle et Bertrand, je ne sais si vous vous souvenez de moi à blues Bonnet , 1963-1974 vous étiez beaux comme des cœurs et vous êtes probablement grand parents maintenant.. récemment et au printemps dernier j’ai tenté de rejoindre Roger, je comprends maintenant pourquoi.
      Toutes mes sympathies à vous et vos proches . J’aimerais avoir de vos nouvelles car récemment je voyais de vos photos avec Denise.
      La vie passe et c’est une page qui se tourne car il n’en reste plus beaucoup de cette époque. Je suis avec vous de tout cœur.

      Mes plus sincères condoléances aux proches de Monsieur Jolicoeur , il était un ami de notre famille et a travaillé a la Financière Banque Nationale avec mon père Normand et était aussi son compagnon de pêche

      Nos plus sincères condoléances à toute la famille.
      Roger était un homme hors du commun. Toujours d’agréable compagnie, nos conversations étaient des plus intéressantes.
      L’aîné d’une grande famille, il était un leader naturel.
      Nous gardons de lui un excellent souvenir. Il va nous manquer à tous.
