It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Jolicoeur of Hawkesbury, Ontario, formerly of Montreal, Quebec. Roger passed away at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the age of 86. Son of the late Gérard Jolicoeur and the late Gracia Morin. Father of Danielle (Jaime Harper) and Bertrand (Linda Stavroff); grandfather of Wesley and Erica Harper. Brother of Jean (Huguette Lachance), Françoise (late Wilfrid Delage), Claude (Denise Dézainde) and Aline (Jacques Renaud). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Lise (late Georges Ouimet).
Roger graduated from HEC in 1957 and had a long career in senior management at Blue Bonnets Raceway in Montreal. He was also a financial advisor with National Bank Financial for several years before retiring.
Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St-Joachim Church, Chute-à-Blondeau, Ontario, followed by interment at Parish Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Anthony MacDonald, hematologist at the Ottawa Hospital, and Dr. Anthony Di Cintio, palliative care physician in the community, for their dedication and humanity.
